About me
With 22 years of experience in education, I’ve has the opportunity to teach students from kindergarten through 8th grade in various roles, including kindergarten teacher, 4th grade departmentalized and self-contained, physical education coach, middle school math teacher for both on-level and advanced students, and special education teacher for elementary and middle school. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a math emphasis. I've completed the Texas HB3 Reading Academy during its first year of implementation. I am ABYDOS (formally known as the New Jersey Writing Project in Texas) certified, with training in research-based writing development. As a two-year national presenter at the National Quality Education Conference for the American Society for Quality, I shared research-based strategies and demonstrated how continuous improvement tools to support student learning and instructional growth. My focus is always on creating engaging, data-informed instruction that helps all students succeed.
